Khud students spend a day at Decklarations – discuss career prospects, explore avenues for future collaborations.

This past month a team of eager young Khud students paid a visit to Decklarations Lahore office – a New York-based digital design studio. The visit was part of a yearlong collaboration with the folks at Decklaration, who have hired Khud students to create video content for their upcoming project, mertium.com.

The day kicked off with a tour of the office space, students were introduced to the team and given a summary of the workflow. It was followed by a motivational speaker session; project lead Mujahid Murtaza talked about the growing demand for the skill sets Khud students have under their belts and the buzzing job market for these careers.  Mujahid highlighted the transformative potential digital skills hold in the 21st century and explained how Khud students could ride this wave and change their lives for the better. Other team members chipped in with personal anecdotes to demonstrate to students that a successful career path was ahead of them if they remained committed.  With adrenaline levels at a high, student listened intently and duly punctuated the session with questions about a wide variety of things.

Next the Mertium team gave a presentation on project updates and shared their feedback with the students. The group brainstormed on improving video content and incorporating additional tools to help them achieve better results. They also discussed ways in which more Khud students could be included into the Decklaration supply chain across different projects.

The day came to a perfect end with piping hot pizza and some lighthearted chatter.

All of us at Khud are really grateful to team Decklaration and Mujahid in particular. Here’s to hoping that these vital interactions pave the way for brighter futures for our talented students!
