15 primary level teachers from three different Khud’s partner schools benefited from this exciting opportunity. The teachers were given extensive training on first module of, ‘Foundation to Basic Concepts,’ of English. In this module the teachers built upon their understanding on how to teach their children in an interactive manner. This particular training by DIL is geared to meet the requirements set in the national curriculum. During the training the teachers learned how to implement the following concepts better in their class rooms; phonics, letter sounds, blends, digraphs, sight words and sentence making.

For most of the teachers this was their first training and they enjoyed working in groups, making presentations and answering questions individually. Khud provided these teachers a chance to learn how to teach the content through different strategies and games. They are excited and motivated to get trained on the second and third module of the course as well, under DIL’s guidance this will take place in November and December.
